Pricing & FAQ

Every custom 3D print is a little different, so I quote based on material, size, print time, and finish. Here’s the pricing structure, supported materials, and the most common questions in one place.

Typical timing
Quotes are usually answered within 24 hours. Most completed prints ship in 2 to 5 business days after payment, depending on part size, settings, and queue.

What changes the quote fastest

Part size and print hours

Taller parts, thicker walls, larger footprints, and higher detail settings increase machine time and can move the quote quickly.

Material and part requirements

PLA is usually the simplest starting point. PETG, TPU, PLA-CF, and PAHT-CF are quoted when the part needs more heat resistance, flexibility, stiffness, or durability.

Handling and delivery

Support removal, cosmetic cleanup, fit-critical attention, rush timing, and shipping all affect the final number. Wilmington, DE pickup can reduce delivery cost when local pickup makes sense.
Instant estimate

This is a live estimate based on common shop variables. Final quotes can change after I review orientation, tolerances, and file quality.

Not sure about grams or print hours?
That is normal. Many small parts land around 20 to 80 grams and 1 to 3 print hours. If you are not sure, use the quote form and I can calculate those from your file instead.

Example jobs and common ranges

Repair part

Typical quote $18 to $35 for a small replacement part such as a bracket, clip, latch, or knob.
What moves the price Material choice, support removal, and whether the fit matters against an existing part.

Prototype piece

Typical quote $35 to $90 for an enclosure half, concept model, or fit-check prototype with moderate print time.
What moves the price Print hours, cosmetic cleanup, tolerances, and whether you need fast turnaround.

Small repeat batch

Typical quote $70 to $220+ for short runs once the part and settings are approved.
What moves the price Quantity, total machine time, handling, and the shipping method you choose.
Important note These are planning ranges, not guaranteed prices. Final quotes still depend on the actual file, print orientation, wall thickness, supports, and queue.

Common questions

Is there a minimum order?

Yes. The minimum job charge is $12 before shipping to cover setup, machine prep, and cleanup time, even for simple one-off parts.

How is shipping charged?

Shipping is added separately based on package size, packaging, and destination. The calculator shows common USPS flat rate options for quick estimates, and Wilmington, DE pickup by appointment is also available for local jobs.

Are color choices limited?

Standard colors depend on current stock. If you want a specific color, mention it in the quote request and I’ll confirm availability before invoicing.

What happens if a file is not printable?

If the file has thin walls, broken geometry, or support problems, I’ll review it first and let you know whether it needs changes before printing.

Are commercial and repeat orders welcome?

Yes. Repeat orders, prototype iterations, and small business short runs are welcome once the file and settings are approved.

What file types do you accept?

I prefer STL and 3MF. OBJ is also ok. If you have multiple files, upload a ZIP and explain what each part is.

Do you create designs?

Right now I’m focused on printing customer-supplied designs. If you already have a model, I can print it.

What materials can you print?

PLA, PETG, PLA-CF, and PAHT-CF are available for suitable parts. TPU is also available when the job needs flexibility.

What’s typical turnaround?

Quotes are usually answered within 24 hours, and most jobs ship in 2 to 5 business days after payment, depending on size, complexity, and current queue.

Can you improve strength?

Yes. Material choice, wall count, infill, and print orientation can all improve strength. If you select “Not sure,” I’ll recommend settings.

Do you remove supports and clean parts?

Yes. I remove supports, clean edges, and do a quick quality check before delivery.

When do I pay?

Payment happens after the quote is reviewed and approved. I confirm pricing and turnaround first, then send the invoice or payment link before printing starts.

Do you keep files private?

Files are reviewed only to quote and produce the job. If your part has special privacy requirements, mention that in the quote request so I can handle the job accordingly.

Materials guide

Better when the part needs more heat resistance and toughness.
PLA-CF
Useful when you want a stiffer feel and a more technical carbon-fiber look.
PAHT-CF
Best for higher-performance parts that need better heat resistance and stiffness.
TPU
Best for flexible parts, impact absorption, or soft-contact features.

Minimum job: The minimum job charge is $12 before shipping to cover setup time.
